ever thought about the shoes lined up at a thrift store and wondered where they've been? A road less traveled, perhaps because they didn't fit correctly? Were the people who wore them nice? Do scuffs on the soles mean the wearers of those shoes were busy? Maybe
you speculated about some glitzy, slightly worn, gold-leather sandals, imagining the woman who wore them and whether they enjoyed lots of hugs and kisses
while wearing them? Did she kick them off? Did someone gently unbuckle the
straps and throw them next to the bed? Maybe they danced all night doing the Tango. ... Read my story, Circles and Tangos

Another Left Shoe is about-- well exactly that--but my
interpretation and memoir translated the title to mean shoes that stayed behind
and are thus, left to those of us who might use them again. This anthology
