I wrote several years before Penniless Hearts. It's about a girl who breaks a commandment and suffers the consequences of her actions, thus finding her heart in the process. While it might sound like a book for young adults, I have been cautioned that teens don't want to read life lessons and so this might be the perfect novella for adults who simply want to read a paranormal-Christian inspired-fiction story that came to me in my dreams.
