our dog Pinky goes through pet toys instantaneously. She's a dog toy tester as evidenced by this previous post about the dog toy trials. Losing My Stuffing-Dog Toy Trials-(Click here)
Anyway, by instantaneous I mean--One hour after coming home from the pet store, the toy is decimated like a frog in biology class. Okay, so sometimes it's a little longer than one hour, but still.
WE HAVE A WINNER!
Hooray!!
It's a crunchy little goat? Pinky loves it and doesn't want to tear it apart--either that or it's well made. |
A pet toy manufacturer must have felt my frustration because we purchased the toy pictured above about two months ago, from a supermarket called Winco. Two months ago??? Can you believe it? I cut off the tags and can't tell you who makes it but it's the undisputed winner!!Hooray!!
Our dog doesn't chew but he has squeaky balls for fetch. He is a one-fetch dog: He fetches once, and never gives the ball back... XD

What did it look like after hour #2? Our dog doesn't shred toys as quickly. One toy we had lasted a good month.
ReplyDeleteIt's lasted two months under the vicious teeth of Pinky? I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteThat must be one strong toy.
ReplyDeleteOur dog is good about chewing only his toys and nothing else.

My little assistance dog has never destroyed anything, she even has the little cloth ball she was sent home from the breeder with 5 years ago. that said, she LOVEs those little toys that just have no stuffing and can be shaken - and nothing to come out and choke, her, just in case! We have several of those like the one fin your photo.
ReplyDeleteOooh, forgot to say -~Liz My blog is at: http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com Blogger will take you to the wrong site.
ReplyDeletePinky should team up with the Square Ones for toy reviews!
ReplyDeleteRest In Peace toy! lol

ReplyDeleteIf you like my first small book of poetry, it is free as an ebook on Amazon from 1st to 5th May.
Finally a toy that is a winner.
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't have the tag.
You must go back and find if there are any more.
Does Fiona play with toys ? Or does she just look at them and they self destruct ?
Really cute specially toys are gone in a second here. Especially if
The Square Ones play tug. We counted once 12 seconds. But that was with two gud dug and not one gud dug.
Mine like to play with them for a few minutes and then settle down to chew where the squeaky is and pull it out with all the fluff.
Gud Dugs are so funny.
cheers, parsnip
Those worked for my dogs too, except for the dog that rips out eyes on toys.
